ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Once at home, remove their top greens since they rob nutrients off the roots if left intact. Then wash thoroughly with clean water to rid of surface dust and soil. Store them in a zip pouch or plastic bag in the refrigerator where they remain fresh for up to a week.
Green bananas have a similar nutritional profile as that of yellow bananas. Various factors, such as the maturation stage, local production, and growing conditions, affect their nutritional value. They have 2-3 g of fiber and 80% of their carbohydrate content is made of resistant starch or complex carbohydrates.
Green bananas are an excellent source of fibre. Fibres play an essential role in ensuring digestive health as well as our heart health. About 100 grams of banana has 2.6 grams of fibre. Just like the ripe bananas, green bananas too are extremely rich in potassium. You would be surprised to know that 1-cup serving of boiled green bananas contains 531 milligrams of potassium.
