Knol khol is a type of European vegetable that is very popular in Kashmir, India. It is a large, round, greenish-white vegetable, similar to cabbage in appearance but lacking in leaves. Long light green coloured extrusions protrude from its shoots.

Knol-khol can be gently washed and refrigerated at 80-90 percent humidity at normal refrigeration temperatures. To avoid further moisture loss, do not peel it if it will not be used soon. Because of its hard texture, it can be stored for a longer period of time than other vegetables.
